In the U.S., publicly available mortgage data includes lenders’ reasons for denying mortgage applications. The chart below lists lenders' reasons for denying applications from white and Latino residents between 2018 and 2022. A similar percentage of applications from white and Latino borrowers were rejected for credit history-related reasons.
